Sengendo Animal Care Demonstration Centre is a
registered animal rescue center, located in Butega
Mityana Uganda Africa.
Animals,
just like people, are born to be FREE. It
is cruel to treat them badly. They are our companions and deserve our care. We
should stop using them for money. You don't sell your family.
My dream is to
sensitize people, and promote love and freedom for all animals, and to rescue
them when they are in danger.

Reasons for the establishment of this animal rescue:
To save the stray animals killed by municipal authorities every year as a result of not being immunized against rabies and other diseases.
To show the world that's
it's possible for humans and animals to co-exist in peace.
I want to sensitize my community and the world at large on the rights and freedom of animals.
Because
I didn't grow up with a mother, animals feel like my mothers. This is why I
want to save their lives when they are in trouble.
Achievements:
Out of the donations given to me, I have been able to:
Construct a wall fence surrounding the animal centre to safe guard my rescued animals from heartless people.
Immunize about 96 stray animals and we put tags on their ears to safeguard them from being murdered by municipal authorities who kill them from being unimmunized of rabies and other diseases.
Make about 26 sensitization tours in different communities and sensitize them on the rights and freedom of animals.
Buy a small land where I have started to grow crops to avoid me depending on donations all the time.
Rescue 56 animals which I take care of.
Stage live shows on both X, Facebook & Instagram teaching the world how to live without meat.
Challenges:
Snakes use un-plastered walls to come into the animal centre and bite us.
Lack of enough land where I can grow enough food for the animals.
Lack of enough funds to pay for the water and vet bills.
Transporting sick animals from the animal centre to the town where I can access vet services is difficult.
Poor accommodation.
Lack of enough food to feed the animals.

We also need help at this point with food, vet bills and the continued construction of a wall enclosure for the centre to protect the animals from poisoning and attacks.
Now that the center is official, we will be able to apply for grants.
We have a garden which helps with food for the animals and will continue to expand this, but still welcome any help.
Budget for the Centre (US $)
Plastering the wall fence = $800.00
Repairing the roof of the centre = $500.00
Water bills after every 2 months = $250.00
Food per month = $200.00
Vet fees per month (depends on the animal that gets sick) = $100.00 - $150.00
